AUTO CARRIERS is one of the largest transporters of motorcars in South Africa and has operated in the Southern African region since 1954. Auto Carriers has received awards for risk management, reliability and customer service.
Auto Carriers provides vehicle distribution and logistical services on behalf of the majority of South Africa's major vehicle manufacturers and dealers and is certified as an ISO 9001:2000 company. Transportation is undertaken by specialized car carriers, rail, ship or self-drive options throughout Southern Africa.
Distribution of the following vehicles is undertaken:
Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, Chrysler, CCE holdings, Combined Motor Holdings, Daihatsu, Fiat, Honda, Hyndai, Isuzu, Lexus, Mahindra, Mercedes Benz, Mitsubishi Colt/Pajero, Nissan, Nissan Diesel, Opel, Peugeot, Proton, Renault, Subaru, Tata and Toyota.
Auto Carriers also operates and manages its own, as well as on behalf of various OEM's, major storage facilities in South Africa. Vehicles valued in excess of R1.5 billion are stored at these facilities. Storage facilities are all "high security" areas, with the latest technology being employed to mitigate risk.
Our carriers are equipped with a GPS tracking systems, which together with our Vehicle Tracking System, facilitates real time tracking of all vehicles being transported either via the internet or via dedicated EDI links with our clients. Our unique "geofencing" system, provices for real time delivery signals to OEM's and other interested parties. Auto Carriers, in conjunction with other members of the Grindrod Logistics can offer a complete logistics chain for the importation, export and distribution of motor vehicles in Southern Africa.
